Warrumbungle Wildlife
Rescue & Rehabilitation Inc.
About Us

Warrumbungle Wildlife Carers Inc. was formed in February 2016 when 12 local carers decided a new approach to wildlife care and rehabilitation was needed. After much discussion, an inaugral meeting was held in March 2016 which signified the start of the new group. Our new aim became very clear early on - to create a community of carers who all shared the same passion and dedication to wildlife, who all respected and supported each other, and who ultimately put the animals needs first.
This group is now known as Warrumbungle Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation Inc.
Our boundaries go as far north as Lightning Ridge, east to Collerenebri, south to Dunedoo, through Dubbo, and west to Gilgandra. In this area there are many species of native animals. Numerous birds, kangaroos, wallabies, possums, wombats, echidnas, koalas, bats, snakes, lizards, turtles and the odd platypus! We care for all of these creatures and aim to return all of them to the wild where possible. With decades of knowledge and experience between us, our small network is rich in skills and abilities, and we're always looking for something, or someone, new.
